Parking Fines

Decriminalised Parking Enforcement came into effect on 1 February 2007. Northumbria Police no longer have any powers to enforce yellow line and parking space offences. All enforcement is now carried out by and on behalf of South Tyneside Council.

South Tyneside Council have partnered with APCOA to set up South Tyneside Parking Services. They manage and enforce on and off-street parking in a co-ordinated manner, which, for the first time, will provide a single point for responsibility for the control of public parking.

For information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) contact APCOA on 0191 456 8130 or email admin.southtyneside@apcoa.co.uk.
