Local governments throughout the country are setting up their own birth, Death and Marriage websites to aid the growing number of genealogy enthusiasts in collecting their data.
South Tyneside Council has worked with a number of groups to record data on our website. With the help of our local volunteers and others from around the country, who are dedicated to processing the information from our indexes, we will be adding to this site on a regular basis.
As you are aware, our indexes start at 1837, so it will take time to get all of these records on-line, so please bookmark this site for regular updates.
