Monkton Stadium will be closed on Monday 7 May.
Monkton Stadium is a major athletics venue that hosts both regional and national events. The centre offers a fitness suite, fitness classes, track and field events and coaching in many sports as well as being the home of Jarrow and Hebburn Athletics Club and South Tyneside Football Trust.
Monkton Stadium, is a recommended training venue for the London 2012 Olympics and will be used for the pre-games training.
