Every Child Matters
We believe in learning by doing and facing new exciting challenges both at Simonside Centre and when out and about on activities.
We promote healthy living and aim to achieve all 5 outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda.
Not in Employment, Education or Training?
The centre is home to the Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) and Foundation Learning (E2E) programmes which give opportunities for 16 to 19 year olds who are currently not in education employment or training.
Opportunities will be given for young people to develop new skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT, as well a host of NVQs and skills based learning. Many of our learners move on to apprenticeships or find work supported by our staff.
