Pride of South Tyneside Awards
The Pride of South Tyneside Awards are back - for an amazing 11th year - and we're looking for more unsung heroes to add to the impressive roll call of previous winners.
Some have gone on to achieve international stardom, while others are still quietly doing their bit for their local communities.
Whatever the scale of their achievements, we want to hear about the people who make our borough great.
PRIDE of South Tyneside nominations can be made in nine categories:
- Community Group of the Year
- Achieving Excellence
- Carer of the Year
- Safer Neighbourhoods
- Greener South Tyneside
- Sporting Excellence
- Role Model of the Year
- Young Performer of the Year (under-21s)
- Child of Courage (under-16s)
The deadline for entries is Thursday 14 March.
The awards ceremony will take place at Temple Park Centre, South Shields on the evening of Sunday 28 April.
Young Performer nominees will be invited to take part in a talent showcase at the Customs House on Monday 25 March, to help the judges make their decision.
