Adults Learning Disability team
The Adult Services Disability Team provides access to a range of services to help people who are 18 and over who have learning disabilities. The objective is always to help someone maintain and develop a safe and independent lifestyle, and intervene if we think someone is in danger, or is being, harmed.
Many of those we work with have been known to us since they were young people or children, but we also work with people we have not been involved in before.
We work very closely with the children with disability team to make sure someone's "transition", when they turn 18 and move to adult services, is as smooth as possible.
