Councillor Tracey Dixon presents prize draw winner, Michael Breheny with his free annual Platinum membership.
A lucky winner is setting off on the road to a healthier lifestyle after bagging himself a free unlimited leisure centre membership.
Michael Breheny, of Boldon Colliery, was one of 646 people to register their email address on the Council's website to be in with a chance of winning an annual Platinum Membership (worth £420).
The email addresses were then entered into the free prize draw, which was held by the Council's Leisure Services Team to celebrate the new and improved membership.
Councillor Tracey Dixon, Lead Member for Leisure and Community Safety, said: "Well done to Michael on winning the prize draw. We have some great fitness venues here in the Borough with something to suit everybody. I hope Michael enjoys the benefits of the new and improved Platinum Membership."
The Platinum Membership gives unlimited access to South Tyneside's three leisure centres - Temple Park Centre, Monkton Stadium and Hebburn Pool. The membership is idea for sports enthusiasts and regular users of the Bodywise Fitness Suite at Temple Park Centre, giving them exclusive benefits - all for under £35 per month.
South Tyneside Council recently extended the benefits of the Platinum Membership to include all fitness classes, in addition to gym and swim sessions.
