Drugs and alcohol services for young people
Matrix - Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service
The Matrix is a drug and alcohol service for young people in South Tyneside. The team work with young people under 18, families and carers whose lives have been affected by substance use, or those who are at risk of developing substance use issues.
The team also has a nurse to help with any health related needs and can provide a C2 Card for young people to access free contraception.
Anyone can visit or make a referral to the Matrix Team:

The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (6pm on Wednesdays). If you can't make these times, contact the Matrix Team to make an out of hours appointment.

FRANK is the national drugs information and advice
service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The service is free, confidential and operated by fully trained advisers.
