Bank Holiday Bin Collections Reminder

South Tyneside Council is reminding residents that household waste collections are not affected by Bank Holidays that fall on a Monday.
The Council introduced four-day collection arrangements in October, with collections taking place from Tuesday to Friday.
This means that Bank Holiday Mondays have no effect on collection dates and residents should put their bins out on their usual collection day.
There have been some difficulties this week, with some residents incorrectly assuming that collections will take place a day later than usual due to Easter Monday.
When Bank Holidays fall on another day of the week the Council will provide information about alternative collection arrangements.
