New South Tyneside TV Advert to Make Screen Debut...

This Thursday, a new colourful advertisement promoting South Tyneside is set to be beamed into thousands of living rooms across the region, as it makes its small screen debut on ITV Tyne Tees & Border.
The 40-second commercial paints an attractive, positive picture of the Borough being a great place to live, work and do business.
River, Seashore and more...is the destination brand to capture the imagination of residents, tourists and business leaders, to ensure the words 'South Tyneside' are on everybody's lips.
The brand strapline River, Seashore and more... has been agreed following extensive consultation with local businesses and partners.
Councillor Iain Malcolm, Leader of South Tyneside Council, said: "The advertisement beautifully reflects the ambition and character of South Tyneside, incorporating the ideals that the Borough is an outstanding place to live, work and bring up a family. A vision being made a continued reality after significant investment has been made to regenerate the area.
"South Tyneside is not only an international destination for the business community but an attractive setting for tourists looking to experience what the region has to offer. It represents an area of the country that has great appeal for future generations of people who're making big decisions in their lives, as they proudly seek to find a place to call their own.
"We hope everybody embraces River, Seashore and more... as South Tyneside plans for exciting times ahead."
The television advert is the first phase of a new campaign to promote South Tyneside on a regional, national and international scale.
South Tyneside is a great place to visit...South Tyneside is a cultural destination known far and wide for its heritage locations that fittingly complements the Borough's award-winning seafronts, landscapes and built environment. South Shields seafront reflects this pride and hard work as Sandhaven beach recently retained its prestigious Blue Flag Award.
Over the coming months the campaign will highlight how South Tyneside is a great place to live and study...families are choosing South Tyneside to set up home and lay down roots for the future responding to the Borough's continued investment in regeneration. This is coupled with young people developing their skills to a high level at schools and colleges in the area.
Residents are seeing the productive results of investment springing up around the Borough including a new £16m swimming pool and leisure complex.
South Tyneside is a great place to work and invest...South Tyneside is strongly becoming recognised as an international centre for renewable energy and advanced manufacturing, with a readymade workforce of highly trained engineers pathing the way for creation, innovation and economic growth. This sector is flourishing in the region with over 130 companies currently trading from these shores with high profile businesses including A&P Group, Siemens and Ford Aerospace.
A perfect example of commitment to business investment is One Trinity Green, a unique business centre positioned in South Shields to attract new businesses and jobs in the growing low carbon and environmental sectors.
South Tyneside has essential access links to the Tyne Tunnels, the A19 corridor and the River Tyne, ensuring the business community can stay on the move, 24-hours-a-day with the Port of Tyne being a principal northern gateway to the UK and further afield.
The new campaign is being produced in partnership with a host of local business, cultural and heritage organisations from across South Tyneside, including Bede's World; The Customs House; Colman's Fish and Chip restaurant; The Dunes; Nexus (Shields Ferry); the National Trust (Souter Lighthouse); Ocean Beach; and Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums (Arbeia Roman Fort).
The partners will help promote the key messages being conveyed in the new TV commercial through word of mouth, social media and where ever possible.

It's scheduled to be aired across various timeslots including mid-morning, lunchtime and evening. The advert will also be repeated in similar timeslots on Friday and Saturday.
