Countdown To Continental Market

The countdown is on for the return of the popular Continental Market taking place in King Street, South Shields Town Centre from this Thursday to Saturday.
A great range of stalls will line both sides of King Street to offer shoppers a sample of the continent. Goods from France, Spain, Germany, Holland, Greece and Poland will be on offer across the three-day period.
Councillor Tracey Dixon, Lead Member for Culture and Wellbeing said: "I would like to encourage people to go along and get a taste of life on the continent. With a fantastic variety of goods including everything from freshly baked bread and pastries, cheeses, sun-ripened olives, sausages, paella and crepes in addition to a great selection of perfumes, jewellery and fashion - It'll be well worth a visit."
Market Manager Lynn Telford said: "I am delighted that we have been able to bring back the Continental Market at such short notice. It's going to be the biggest yet and is always a great complement to our regular market. It's great that we have it here in South Shields and I hope that people take the opportunity to come along and see what its all about."
The Continental Market will take place on Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th November from 9am until 5pm on King Street in South Shields Town Centre.
