Do I need a licence?


The types of premises that need a licence.

Premises licence


You need a premises licence to sell / supply alcohol, provide entertainment or sell hot food or drink to the public between 11pm and 5am.

Personal licence


A personal licence allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol from premises with a premises licence.

Club premises certificate


Licensing for voluntary and social clubs.

Temporary events notice


To hold a one-off event you need to send the council a notice.

Food premises registration


You need a licence to store, prepare, distribute or sell food on premises.

Food premises approval


You need a licence for certain food premises, such as meat processing, preparation plants and cold stores.
