Young people

Services for Young People is a new service in South Tyneside for children and young people aged 5-19 (and up to 25 years old with Special Educational Needs).

Services for Young People provide support to children, young people and their families. This includes:

  • Education - attendance and issues at school
  • Careers - Information, advice and guidance
  • Apprenticeships and employment opportunities
  • Access to positive activities
  • Decision making in their local community.

Workers called Young Peoples Leads provide a one point of contact to access all of the above services.
