Changes to your bin collections
We are changing the way we collect refuse and recycling bins from all households in South Tyneside.
Recycling Village and shop
The opening times for the Recycling Village change on Monday 1st April to 9am to 7.30pm.
Waste permit for Recycling Village
If you are using a van, pick-up or trailer to drop-off your waste at the Recycling Village, you will need to apply for a permit first.
Recycling rewards
There are £10,000 of prizes to be won when you recycle your aerosols, glass jars and food and drink cartons.
Recycling sites
Find recycling sites in South Shields, Boldon, Cleadon, Whitburn, Hebburn and Jarrow.
Bulky waste collections
We can collect unwanted household items that are too big or heavy to put in your bin.
