Trades union ballot result
The result of the trades union members ballot has now been published. Members have voted against the proposed new pay and grading structure which was developed following job evaluation.
Over the last couple of months we explained the details of the proposed new pay and grading structure to colleagues. Trades union colleagues asked their members to vote on those proposals and the ballot result from both Unison and GMB was to reject the new arrangements.
Next steps
We now need to take time to reflect on this result, analyse the views of our workforce and trades union representatives to find a way forward.
We are determined to move to a model that results in as few people as possible losing out and ensure that any new pay and grading structure is both fair and equitable.
