South Tyneside Means Business

Transformation: Local Strategic Partnership LogoThe Spirit of Enterprise, which evolved into the South Tyneside Means Business programme, is funded by the Government’s Local Enterprise Growth Initiative. This followed from a successful bid by South Tyneside’s Local Strategic Partnership for £16.2 million.

The South Tyneside Means Business programme is based on 10 Big ideas which will make South Tyneside truly best for business and:

  • Increase the number of new business start-ups
  • Help more people to become self-employed
  • Help our new and existing businesses to grow and survive
  • Attract ‘mobile entrepreneurs’ from across the North East to invest in South Tyneside
