Help from the Health Service

If you have a medical condition or you are in receipt of:

  • War or Ministry of Defence Disablement Pension
  • Working tax credit
  • Child tax credit
  • Disabled person’s tax credit
  • Income support
  • Income based job seeker’s allowance

You may be entitled to:

  • Free NHS prescriptions
  • Free NHS dental treatment
  • Free NHS sight tests
  • Voucher towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses
  • Free wigs and fabric support
  • Repayment of reasonable travel costs to and from hospital for NHS treatment

PALs

PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) is a service which is designed to support patients, relatives and carers in resolving concerns and answering queries about their health service.
