Help from the Health Service
If you have a medical condition or you are in receipt of:
- War or Ministry of Defence Disablement Pension
- Working tax credit
- Child tax credit
- Disabled person’s tax credit
- Income support
- Income based job seeker’s allowance
You may be entitled to:
- Free NHS prescriptions
- Free NHS dental treatment
- Free NHS sight tests
- Voucher towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses
- Free wigs and fabric support
- Repayment of reasonable travel costs to and from hospital for NHS treatment

PALs
PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) is a service which is designed to support patients, relatives and carers in resolving concerns and answering queries about their health service.
