Private nurseries
Private nurseries are open for the length of the adult working day. Children attend on a part-time or full-time basis depending on parents needs, some nurseries will provide care for children from as young as six weeks.
All nurseries must be registered with and inspected by Ofsted. Early education provision is available for 3 and 4 year old children attending private nurseries in South Tyneside.
