Signposting and Referring Clients
As the vast majority of legal advice providers in the Borough hold Quality Mark status, all agencies are aware of the need to have in place solid, effective procedures for ensuring that clients are directed to the right source of advice instead of being passed from pillar-to-post.
In response, the CLSP has developed a Signposting & Referral Protocol for use by advice providers across the Borough. The Protocol has been developed in conjunction with a number of advice providers. Furthermore, the Legal Services Commission has been involved in the drafting of the procedure to ensure that it meets the requirements of the Quality Mark.

The closing date for responses is the 31st January 2004. A final
version of the Protocol will be released after that date and will
