Fostering

Make fostering your career

Girl with foster carerMake it happen for them, make it happen for you.

All of our foster carers are at the heart of a team working with some of our most vulnerable children.

However, some children and young people’s childhood experiences leave them particularly troubled and very vulnerable. Whilst all of our carers posses a number of key qualities and skills, those engaged with children and young people through our specialist fee based schemes are in possession of particular levels of resilience, patience and understanding.

We would very much like to talk to anyone who believes that they have the patience and understanding to help children and young people with particularly high levels of need.

The challenges can be great, but all of our carers tell us that the rewards are greater. You can expect high levels of professional support and training, much of it leading to professional qualifications and a tax-free income of over £21,000 per year plus allowances.

A career in foster caring could be for you if you:

  • Are considering a career in childcare
  • Think you might be able to help us
  • Enjoy working with children and young people
  • Have a spare room in your home
  • Want the chance to change a life

If you think a career in foster caring could be for you then please make a foster carer general enquiry or contact us for an informal chat.
