Community Engagement
Community engagement and a focus on delivering at a neighbourhood level are at the core of the Government’s vision for the future of local government and communities.
Young people are being encouraged to engage in Neighbourhood Action planning through work in schools and outreach work with older children
Local residents are being empowered to research local issues and to be involved in identifying solutions and developing actions through the use of participatory appraisal and community development.
Our Community Engagement Strategy sets out how we aim to enable residents to participate at different levels on a ladder of participation.
