Our Neighbourhoods
Where are the areas most in need of help?
By combining local knowledge with standard methodology we have been able to map deprivation statistics (Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2004) to neighbourhood levels.
This has enabled us to identify the 19 neighbourhoods in the worst 10% for deprivation nationally. The map below highlights these areas.
All of these neighbourhoods will be covered by neighbourhood action plans or neighbourhood management initiatives by the end of 2008/09.
