Terms and conditions
Please read through the following terms and conditions carefully before submitting a nomination. By submitting a nomination, you agree to accept the terms and conditions listed below:
- Categories listed under ‘category descriptions’ are open to all ages apart from those stated otherwise
- Nominations must be for individuals or groups/projects/teams who either live or work in South Tyneside
- Nominations will be accepted for entrants who were nominated in previous years, except for those who won. However, those who won can still be nominated for different categories
- The same person or group/project/team can be nominated for different categories. However, separate nomination forms must be submitted
- Nominators must gain the permission of the person or group/project/team who they would like to nominate before submitting an entry
- Each category will be judged by a panel of judges and the judges’ decisions are final
- Judges reserve the right to enter nominations into a different category other than the category chosen by the nominator
- Judges reserve the right to withdraw nominations if the person or group/project/team nominated is associated in any way to the organisation/delivery of the awards
- Nominations received after the closing date may be accepted under the judges’ discretion
- The organisers (South Tyneside Council, The Customs House and The Shields Gazette) reserve the right to use the information provided as part of the nomination to deliver all aspects of the Pride of South Tyneside Awards
- The finalists’ prize draw will take place at the Pride of South Tyneside Awards where a letter will be presented to the winner detailing how to redeem the prize.
