Person InvolvementSouth Tyneside Super Group
The 'South Tyneside Super Group' was established four years ago as a result of people, who use the service, wanting to have more of a say in the services they receive. This was a huge step forward in partnership working for the Learning Disabilities Service in South Tyneside and one which we are all very proud of. The group work very closely with South Tyneside Learning Disability Partnership Board and all of its sub-groups, whose role it is to make services better for people with learning disabilities in South Tyneside. The group talks about all things relating to their lives and makes sure their voice is heard so they can make a difference. Service planning and delivery is therefore informed by this, which shows what a valuable role the group have. The group is interested in more people getting involved and having their say. If you'd like more information about getting involved, please contact Kellie Woodley on 0191 427 4583 or email at k.woodley@aigst.com.
