Performance: Our objectives

We are self-aware and accept we still have further improvement opportunities across all seven of our priority themes.

We have agreed with government that our Local Area Agreement will focus effort to shift the top ten priority objectives.

These will receive extra political engagement, more rigorous programme management, stronger monitoring and evaluation and the extra resources they need to maximise success.

Our top ten priority objectives

  • Increasing opportunities and participation in education, employment and training
  • Improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Building respect in communities and reducing anti social behaviour
  • Engaging people to have a greater voice and influence over decision-making and the delivery of local services
