Unitary Development Plan

South Tyneside Unitary Development PlanThe UDP was adopted in 1999.  It is now gradually being replaced by our new Local Development Framework (LDF).

Many of the UDP's policies and proposals have been 'saved' until they are replaced by the LDF - details are set out in the UDP 'saved' policies update - September 2007(PDF 22.4k) and in the LDF's Local Development Scheme

After September 2007, emerging and new LDF documents also include a list of which UDP policies will be replaced once that document has been finally adopted.
