There are six cemeteries administered by South Tyneside Council:
- Boldon Cemetery, Dipe Lane, West Boldon
Cemetery opened in 1872, and covers an area of 5 acres.

Chapels
Chapels are still available for public use for funeral services at Harton, Hebburn, Jarrow and Whitburn.

Appointment service
We will arrange an appointment time for any person who is experiencing difficulty in accessing Westoe cemetery or any other cemetery location.
