Traditional graves (all cemeteries although numbers are restricted at some locations)
Traditional graves have been a fundamental part of municipal cemeteries since their inception in South Tyneside for over 150 years. There are no restrictions on size of headstone memorial and full kerbsets are allowed. Families can choose to plant out and maintain the full grave space if they wish.
