The Council as the Licensing Authority is responsible for the licensing of alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment.
The Licensing Act states that the Council must review its licensing policy statement every three years. The original policy came into effect in January 2005 and must now be reviewed and re-published no later than 7 January 2008.
