The Untidy Sites Working Group
Background
The Untidy Sites Working Group was established and a protocol agreed in response to requests by Council Members that more be done to address the problem of untidy sites. These sites - due to dilapidation, lack of maintenance or the dumping of rubbish etc - harm the image of the Borough and the quality of life of its residents.
Structure of the Working Group
The Untidy Sites Working Group is an inter-disciplinary team made up of Council Officers from Environmental Health, Building Control, Development Control, Legal Services, Waste Strategy, Streetscape and Asset Management as well as members of the Arson Task Force. The Working Group meets on a regular basis to discuss action to be taken in response to potential new cases, progress with existing cases, and any related issues.
