The you effect
The effect foster and adoptive carers have on a child or young person’s life can be remarkable. A child who is vulnerable and scared needs a supporting and loving environment in which to feel safe and cared for. And it’s not just these children or young people who feel the effect, carers too get great reward from seeing that child flourish – it’s what we at South Tyneside Council call the You Effect and it’s amazing.
