What are Direct Payments?
Direct Payments is an initiative to help you to buy your own care, or if you’re a parent, to buy care for your child.
It gives you the opportunity to take control of your own life and be in charge of your own, or your child’s, support arrangements.
Direct Payments give you:

- Control
- Flexibility
This means that you get the assistance you want, when you need it, and from the person you choose to give it.
