Help and advice
The Council's Environmental Health Service provides a range of services in relation to private sector housing, these include:
- Advice to landlords and homeowners
- Dealing with housing disrepair in the private rented sector
- Providing home improvement financial assistance to homeowners
- Bringing empty property back into use
- Landlord accreditation
- Improving the energy efficiency of homes (the Warmer Homes Project)
- Dealing with insecure vacant buildings
