Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPI) General Survey 2003 - 2004

As part of Best Value South Tyneside council is required to seek continuous improvement in their services. Best Value Performance Indicators are designed to monitor service improvement with regard to the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of service delivery.

The General Survey was carried out by MORI (on behalf of the council) in South Tyneside, which contained a range of questions including the Satisfaction with Services and the perception of Anti-Social Behaviour.

The survey was sent to 3,000 homes in the borough, which were randomly selected from the Postcode Address File. The response rate was 44%
