Intelligence Online
Intelligence online is the internet resource for strategic information and statistics for South Tyneside.
The site is divided into categories based on the Council’s priority themes identified in the Spirit of South Tyneside
For each of these themes we outline:
the national, regional and local policies for each area
the main things that we need to improve, and
show how the council is progressing in achieving them
Intelligence online also has news, links and the chance to ask us a question online.
Themes
Children & Young People Includes: exam results, pre-school provision, special educational needs, looked after children, school attendance, child protection, drug and alcohol advice, sex education, further education and training, etc.
Culture and Wellbeing Spirit of South Tyneside will ensure culture continues to be an important ingredient in the Borough's future.
Housing, Environment and Transport Includes: decent homes, housing for vulnerable people, public transport, road safety, planning, urban design, street cleaning, refuse collection and recycling etc.
Independent and Healthy Lives Includes: life expectancy, serious illnesses, obesity, smoking, healthy lifestyles, mental health, social isolation, access to services etc.
Jobs and Enterprise Includes: creating and retaining jobs, helping people back into work, support for businesses, vocational training, basic skills etc.
Safer & Stronger Communities Includes: crime, anti-social behaviour, domestic violence, drug & alcohol misuse, community engagement, neighbourhood renewal, and promoting a safer environment etc.
