Fees and Enrolment:

Adult & Community Learning Enrolment Form:

Every learner enrolling on an Adult & Community Learning course is asked to complete an enrolment form.

The learner enrolment form is a vital part of the enrolment procedure and it serves a number of important purposes, for this reason we ask all of our learners to take some time to fill their form out in full, usually during the first session of their course or during a special enrolment session. If you require help there will always be a tutor or member of staff present.

Reasons for filling out an enrolment form:

  • If a class has to be cancelled due to tutor illness, or similar we require your telephone number so that we can contact you as soon as possible
  • The learner takes the yellow copy as it contains details of their entitlements and data protection agreement, as well as a reminder of their course venue, start time etc
  • The white copy comes back to our main office so that we can enter details of your enrolment onto our database. This so we know how many learners we have and what courses they are on.
  • The form is evidence for our funding bodies, the people who pay us to run your course. Without a completed and signed enrolment form we cannot claim funding for your place.
  • Lots of the questions we ask on the enrolment form give us useful information about the learners we have, and allows us to make sure we are putting the right types of courses on for you, the courses are in the right location and we are providing the right support for you to help you achieve your goals.

Course Fees:

Most courses will have a tuition fee; this is usually around one third of what it costs us to provide this course for each learner.

However a lot of learners will be eligible for “fee remittance” this means they will not need to pay the tuition fee at all.

Eligibility for fee remittance is assessed as soon as you go to enrol on your course, but if you have any doubts about enrolling before you know if you will get a free place you can ring us on 0800 073 1772 (freephone) we can discuss your circumstances and let you know whether you would be eligible for a free course or not.

Below is a list of reasons that may make you eligible for a free course:

  • If you are aged 16-18 (learners who wish to attend a full time course must have officially left school after Year 11)
