Libraries Homepage: >How to Join us: Renewals and Reservations Renewals We have made it easy for you to renew your library books. You can renew all or some of your books as long as another library user has not requested them. This can be done by...
Reservations Do you find that sometimes when you visit your local library the book that you have been looking for is never there when you want it? If the answer is YES, and the item is in stock or on order, did you know that, you can reserve it for free The next available copy will be yours and you will be notified by telephone or by post. Sometimes books are heavily requested and attract a waiting list, if this case your name would be added to the list. You don't have to wait for a book to be published to request it, as soon as you are aware of the book's existence, let us know. Sometimes you might want an item that is not available in our libraries. This could be an old, no longer available book on the war or a novel that you read years ago and would like to read again. You may be studying and require a textbook that we do not hold or you may need to obtain an article from a Journal. Even if you need a set of plays or Musical Scores these could be obtained via the Inter Library Loans system. If we have to order your item specially or request it ourselves from another library service, we will charge a reservation fee. Pop into your local Branch Library or call the Requests Department on 0191 4247858 where your request will be taken. You could also make an online request.
