Playgrounds in South Tyneside
Play is crucial to the well-being and healthy development of children. The council aims to create child friendly and safe environments which all children have access to.
There are 30 council managed equipped outdoor play areas, 12 Multi use Games Areas and 4 Skateboard Areas which cater for children, and young people in South Tyneside. The Council has responsibility for inspection, maintenance and on-going improvements to these areas.
