The next stage - improvement planning
It is vital we continue to use external assessment to help us focus on continuous improvement. Regardless of our CPA rating our challenge is to keep our momentum going to deliver the best possible services for the people of South Tyneside.
Areas highlighted as needing further improvement by the Audit Commission CPA team will be a key part of the strategic planning process for Performing Together 2008-11 and also the Audit Commission audit and inspection plan for 2008 onwards.
Our progress will be assessed by the Audit Commission and Ofsted at our next Corporate Assessment and Joint Area Review scheduled for 15 September 2008.
