How you can contact us and access services
We are creating six one-stop Customer Service Centres to make it easier to be a customer in South Tyneside.
You can also contact us and find out information by:
- Calling the council switchboard on 0191 427 1717.
- Calling our Customer Contact Centre on 0191 427 7000 where you can access a wide range of services including cleansing, refuse collection, grounds maintenance, highways, street lighting, environmental health, elections, education and housing repairs.
- Visiting e-services to access services and make payments, for example to request a housing repair, report a street light fault or to request a bin.
- Texting us – you can report things including abandoned vehicles, vandalism and problems with footpaths and roads through our mobile phone SMS text services. Text us on 07786 200802.
