Complaining to the Information Commissioner
The Information Commissioner is responsible for enforcing the Act and has a duty to investigate all complaints If South Tyneside Council refuses your access request you have the right to appeal against this decision by contacting the Information Commissioner at the address below:

The Information will appoint a panel of independent experts to review your case. Please be advised if you do decide to submit an appeal any correspondence sent to the Information Commissioner will be redirected back to the Council to give us the opportunity to review it.
