The Jarrow Neighbourhood Management Partnership was set up in April 2006 with government funding.
The area covers central Jarrow, Low Simonside and Hill Park and Lawson Avenue.
The partnership board consists of
- 5 elected community reps
- 5 service providers
- 2 local councillors
- 1 voluntary sector rep
- 1 business rep
There are also 2 places for young people.
What does the Jarrow NMP do?
The partnership makes decisions that will help to improve the area and aims to:
‘deliver better, joined up and more cost effective services that will reflect the Jarrow Neighbourhood area, meet local needs, allow local people to influence and shape those services and make a difference to the quality of life and well-being for residents’.
This means we need to have your thoughts and suggestions for improvements. If you would like to get involved, please contact:
