Improving our parks
Beverley Rutherford’s got a new job that she loves – and that’s thanks to you.
During consultation you told us park rangers would make you feel safer and increase your enjoyment of South Marine Park.
Well Beverley is our answer. She said:
“I get the opportunity to talk to people every day and that’s what makes my job so interesting.
We have fantastic parks and it’s great to get such positive feedback on the things that are happening in the park I work in.”
Beverley’s top three improvements to parks across the borough are:
- more residents getting involved in activities such as walks, friends’ groups and the green gym
- consulting with residents to find out their priorities for the parks
- …and employing me of course!
