Community Aims and Objectives
We have agreed 6 community aims to support our vision

  • Learning, Creativity and Culture - making South Tyneside a place where people believe that learning is never over.
  • Healthy Living and Care – making South Tyneside healthier, where people are living longer because of changes they have made to their lifestyle.
  • Enterprise and Jobs - making South Tyneside a centre for enterprise and innovation, where businesses can realise their potential and people can find jobs.
  • Stronger Communities - making South Tyneside a place where people are included and everyone feels involved.
  • Safer Communities – making South Tyneside a place where people feel safe because crime is the exception rather than the rule.
  • Housing and Environment – making South Tyneside clean, safe and tidy, with a range of quality homes.
