Transformation Partnership

Our Priorities

The Transformation Board gives strategic leadership to the process and we have six Priority Groups that support the Board. These six groups look at the priorities that have been identified by the people of South Tyneside, the Transformation Report, and the Partnership itself. Our six key priorities are:

  • Promoting a sense of place, cultural opportunities and well-being
  • Helping any child and young person achieve their potential
  • Making communities safer & stronger
  • Helping people to live independent and healthy lives
  • Helping people into jobs and encouraging enterprise
  • Building a sustainable environment with great housing and transport links

The Community Network and the Council’s Community Area Forums make sure that the views of residents from across South Tyneside are continually fed into the whole process. Our aim is to be as inclusive as possible. By monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of how we work together, we are confident that we will deliver our promises and make visible improvements for local people.
