Welcome to the Transformation Partnership
This is an exciting time for South Tyneside and for the people of the Borough. The next few years will see many improvements and changes to the area based on what the people of the Borough tell us they want in order to deliver our vision of 'a better future for South Tyneside's people'.
Many of these changes will come about as a result of local people, businesses, the community, private and public sectors, and the Council working together to get things right. We have ambitious plans for the Borough and by working in partnership we are sure we can achieve the best possible results. But it's no good just talking about things and producing plans - change needs to be visible.
We know we need to learn from our mistakes as well as our successes and we will be asking the people of the Borough what they think of the changes we make so we can be sure we are getting it right for the people who really matter. The Transformation Partnership will drive forward the issues that you have told us are important - we're working together to lead change.

Our big plan for delivering changes on these things is our Spirit of South Tyneside, which is our Sustainable Community Strategy, Regeneration Strategy and Local Area Agreement.
How the Partnership Works
The challenges facing us are so complicated in South Tyneside that we need to have a proper structure to help us deliver our priorities. We recognise that these challenges can't be resolved by any one organisation. So that we can achieve our ambitions and make a real difference to the lives of people in this area, we must work together to make South Tyneside extraordinary once again. The Transformation Partnership has been brought together to do just this.
