Show my closest
The show my closest feature allows you to find services and facilities near to where you live. By selecting your address on the map, you can find your closest facilities such as libraries, doctors and car parks as well as information about your local area, such as local planning applications, your polling district and your local councillor.
To find your closest planning applications, you will first need to find your address on the map.
Once you have found your address:

- Click on show map layers in the right hand menu.
- Click on the small red pin to the left of the service / facility that you would like to find.
You can expand each category by clicking on the category name, for example, Council and Democracy or Environment and Planning.

The nearest facilities and services will appear on the map highlighted by numbered pins. Pin number one is the nearest to your address and pin number ten is the furthest away.
How do I find more information?

You can scroll over icons on the map to find more information.

You can also see a full list of all of the places highlighted on the map and information about them displayed underneath the map.
If the place name is highlighted, you can click on the name, for example, Central Library, to find more information.
You can also click on View xxx on map to see the service / facility in the centre of the map.
How do I turn off Show My Closest?

You can clear all of the Show My Closest entries by clicking on Clear Queries at the bottom of the right hand menu.
